This topic has 2 versions: the Brex classic experience and the Brex Empower platform. If you need help finding which you use, sign in or read this article.

You can prevent unwanted ACH debits by managing which counterparties are authorized to pull funds from your Brex business account. Whenever an unauthorized ACH debit is attempted, all Brex business account and card admins, as well as Brex business account users, will be notified via email. There are two ways to configure your account:

  1. Allow debits from all counterparties unless they are specifically blocked.

  2. Block debits from all counterparties unless they are specifically trusted.

This can be managed by admins and users from the Brex dashboard. Please follow the steps below.

Step 1: Click your company's name at the top right of your dashboard and select Settings.

Step 2: Under Company, find the ACH debits section and toggle Only allow debits from trusted counterparties on or off. This will determine whether you'll manage a list of blocked counterparties or trusted counterparties.

Step 3: Click either Edit blocked counterparties or Edit trusted counterparties to view your list of counterparties. Click the three dots next to the counterparty to modify or delete them.

Step 4: Click Add to define a new counterparty by entering their name and unique ACH ID and click Continue to save that counterparty to your list.

You can also block or trust counterparties from Cash > Transactions. This can be helpful if you don't know the ACH ID for the counterparty.

Step 1: Select the transaction from the counterparty that you would like to block or trust.

Step 2: Click the arrow on the right side of the transaction details.

Step 3: Select either Trust counterparty or Block counterparty.
